I was out running some errands one day and was broadsided by another car. I don't think I've ever felt anything so violent, as the other car crushed the entire passenger side of my car right up to where I was sitting, then pinned me up against a guard rail on the other side of the intersection. I couldn't breath for a while, but as the air returned to my lungs, I realized that with the exception of a few little scrapes and a bruise where my seatbelt crossed my body, I was okay. I praised God for watching over me, and all the more as police officers, tow truck drivers, and even a doctor stopped to say they couldn't believe I wasn't killed. How could I walk away from such a mangled car? The truth is that God protected me. I guess He isn't finished with me yet. Until He is, I'll stay on mission for Him. As I searched through the remains of my car, I noticed the edge of my favorite Bible sticking out of what remained of my passenger side door. The towing company used a front end loader to pry the door just enough that I could get my Bible back. I could tell those "old boys" were quite surprised that I couldn't give a rip about my car, but was ecstatic to get my Bible back. I hope they never forget it. Cars come and cars go, and even we will come and we will go... But as always, God's Word remains!
"Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away." Matthew 24:35
