A lot of young people I know like to dance. Not the kinds of dancing you're probably thinking of, but the kind where hey step into the church on Sunday, and then they step back into the world on Monday. For a good number of years I too believed this type of dancing was okay. I thought a Christian could keep their faith separate from their worldly pursuits. Eventually, the Lord convicted me of my hypocrisy and my dance with darkness stopped. Today, I use that part of my testimony to exhort people not to waste the years like I did. What's sad is that far too many go down the opposite road. They decide the parties and the sin are more fun than walking with the Lord and they just abandon Him all together. Imagine... giving up true life for sure death. Oh how the darkness fools us. It makes me certain of two things: First, the pursuits of this world will seem absolutely insane once those who follow Christ see them from the Light of heaven. And second, the absolute same thing will be true for those who view them from the darkness of hell.
When Jesus spoke again to the people, he said, "I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life." John 8:12
