Believe it or not, Adam had a job in the Garden of Eden, and that was true before he sinned. Man was created to work. Sure, work got a lot harder after sin entered the picture, but work was still work even before the fall of man. I see a lot of people who aren't very interested in work, and truly teenagers can be some of the worst. That's unfortunate, because letting a habit like laziness set in while you're young is probably even worse--it's a hard habit to break! There are plenty of people who are poor because of situations far beyond their control, but my best guess is that the majority of people who want for the basic necessities of life did it to themselves. Forget about that nap and see if you can get something accomplished today. You'll feel a lot better for it, and you'll actually be a lot better for it as well. That work ethic you learn in your youth will carry you far in life.
"How long will you lie there, you sluggard? When will you get up from your sleep? A little sleep, a little slumber, a little folding of the hands to rest--and poverty will come on you like a bandit and scarcity like an armed man." Proverbs 6:9-11
