During the course of a day's business in a church, or even in the life of one single Christian, a lot of important things may come to pass. If your church, or even your life, is anything like mine, then hundreds of little details never stop pouring themselves in front of you. These little details of life can also have a dramatic effect on your ability to concentrate on what's really important in life. Sure, someone's got to take care of the details, but if we lose focus on what's really important, we've given the devil a foothold in our lives, and in the Body of Christ.
"Now, brothers, I want to remind you of the gospel I preached to you, which you received and on which you have taken your stand. By this gospel you are saved, if you hold firmly to the word I preached to you. Otherwise, you have believed in vain. For what I received I passed on to you AS OF FIRST IMPORTANCE: That Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures, and that he appeared to Peter, and then to the Twelve. After that, he appeared to more than five hundred of the brothers at the same time..." 1 Corinthians 15:1-6a (Emphasis mine)
