I continuously talk to Christian teenagers who are dating and who come to me with their relationship problems. One of my first questions is always, "Is your person you're dating a Christian?" Shockingly, more often than not they don't know! What's worse, when I ask if the other person knows that they are dating a Christian, they usually say, "no," or "I don't think so." Surely Christians are to be "known by their fruit," and these young lives seem to be fruitless. Is it any wonder they're coming to see a minister to talk over their problems? They say they've confessed Jesus as their LORD, and then they're living lives where He's only recognized when it's comfortable, and when it doesn't interfere with what THEY want! Honestly, I don't think these are lives that were ever committed to the Lord, but if they were, Satan has moved in and set up house. If you're living a life that sounds similar to those I'm talking about, spend just a moment and look up the word "Lord" in a dictionary. Then... read this Scripture a few times, pray, and e-mail me in the morning!
"No one lights a lamp and hides it in a jar or puts it under a bed. Instead, he puts it on a stand, so that those who come in can see the light." Luke 8:16
