I received a free gift with my subscription to a popular golf magazine. They claim that with several "three word lessons" they could fix my golf swing! And, although they all sound like great advice, I wonder if a whole book of lessons could really fix MY golf game! Nevertheless, since I'm a simple kind of guy, and what could be more simple than three word lessons, their advice definitely has it's allure as far as I'm concerned. As I was pondering my three word lessons and all the good they would do for my game, a two word lesson came to mind that could fix more than just a bad golf swing. In all the generations the world has seen, no doubt the most profound two word lesson was taught by Jesus when He was asked if He was the Savior of the world? His words, "I am," are still reverberating through heaven and through Satan's ears! It's truly sad that endless volumes of religious writings often miss this simple truth. Jesus was, and is, God's Only Son, and the only hope for a runaway and sinful world. In just using the words "I am" He was using one of the very names of God (the Great "I Am") to identify Himself. If you're wondering what is the answer to every single problem that ails the world (except for my golf swing, of course), then let these two simple but powerful words answer that very question. "I am!"
"Again the high priest asked him, 'Are you the Christ, the Son of the Blessed One?' 'I am,' Jesus said." Mark 14:61b-62a
