"Buy all you can, wave to the poor, and I'll follow you!"
Those words were never spoken by Jesus, but it sure doesn't seem to stop Christians from following the credo! I guess we don't much care for what Jesus actually said, because it would require too much self-denial--something we don't even like the sound of, much less the practice of! His actual words (from Luke 14:9:23) "If anyone would come after me, he must deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow me." Can we really call ourselves "disciples" of Christ and walk this earth looking for comfort, happiness and, of course, money? I think our answer is quite clear...
"In the same way, any of you who does not give up everything he has cannot be my disciple." Luke 14:33
So.... are you really a disciple of Christ? If you need to make an adjustment, wouldn't today be the perfect time?
