"All the believers were one in heart and mind." Acts 4:15a (A Biblical account of the first group of Christ followers.)
Have you noticed how quickly churches can become places where people build factions, almost always fighting and warring against each other? And if that's not enough, then we wage war against the church down the street, or across town. Sometimes the worst arguing is among churches of the same denominations! I pray your church isn't like that, but unfortunately many are. Although it may seem far fetched in today's world, the Scriptures urge us to be of one mind. And though that may seem impossible, if we each seek to have the mind of Christ, not worrying about what WE want, but rather what HE wants, wouldn't "one mind" be a simple thing to achieve? The "one mind" would of course be the mind of Christ--the mind we're supposed to have in the first place!
"I appeal to you, brothers, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that all of you agree with one another so that there may be no divisions among you and that you may be perfectly united in mind and thought." 1 Corinthians 1:10
