"What have you been up to lately?"
That phrase sounds like something someone who hasn't see you in a while might ask. The common retort, "Oh, not much... how about you?" But really, what have you been up to lately? What's been the focus of your life? If someone were to really examine the way you spend your time, or your money, or the people you hang out with, what would they learn about you? As Christians, we are exhorted to be about the business Jesus left us to accomplish. Just like our Lord, we are to be "about our Father's business," taking up where He left off. Most of the folks I know are about their own business. I often wonder if the reason the Lord hasn't returned yet is because we've been too busy to do what He created us to do. At any rate, a lack of focus on what God commands is symbolic of a lack of faith. If you're proud of your faith, but you haven't "been up to" God's work lately, you might want to re-examine the pride you're taking in your faith.
"I tell you the truth, anyone who has faith in me will do what I have been doing." Jesus of Nazareth (John 14:12a)
