I was chatting with a friend today's who's a big fan of a secular band. I asked him, "Doesn't that band have a song that berates Jesus for claiming He was the only "way" to heaven?" He said he wasn't sure, but it didn't really matter--I was sure! Hopefully, my friend will take another look at whose albums he buys and who he allows to fill his mind with their warped theology. Of course, that "warped" theology is not new, nor is it surprising. Not only does every other religion in the world claim that Jesus is not the Christ, they also believe they have "additional" ways to reach the promise land. Unfortunately for them, they are wrong! I know it's a bold statement, but that's exactly what Jesus said, and He warned repeatedly that others would painstakingly discount His Word, His miracles, and His very message of salvation. We should not be surprised when popular secular groups pick up the "same old song." That doesn't mean we should listen to them, however!
"Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved." Acts 4:12
